Norwood Young America Fire Department

The Norwood Young America Fire Department is a paid-on-call fire department that provides emergency response services for the City of Norwood Young America. The department is also currently responsible for responding to emergencies in parts of the surrounding townships of: Hancock, Camden, Young America, Waconia and Benton.
Members are currently Firefighter I and First Responder certified … with a variety of members holding EMT, Paramedic, and HazMat certifications.

The NYA Fire fleet
The fleet of the Norwood Young America Fire Department includes Engine 11, a Peterbuilt engine; Rescue 11, a Ford pickup; Tanker 11, a Chevrolet; Utility 21, a Peterbuilt Heavy Rescue; Engine 21, a Ford mini pumper; Grass Rig 21, a Chevrolet; Ladder 11, an E-One Quint; Tanker 21, a Ford; Utility 11, a 1925 Universal; and a smoke trailer/training house.
The Norwood Young America Fire Department has two fire halls: one at 327 W. Elm St., the other at 23rd Ave. SW in Norwood Young America. The department may be reached by calling 952-467-1800.
